Christmas presents us with a new opportunity to live generously. From the beginning, the people of Granger Community Church have given above and beyond their normal gifts toward a special Christmas Offering to celebrate Jesus’ birth and gift of love to all of us.

THIS YEAR YOUR GIFTS TO JESUS PROVIDE FOR:

FOOD DROP
With soaring food prices creating food insecurity for many, the support we offer to help meet basic needs during the winter season is so crucial. That’s why for over 21 years we’ve been feeding hungry people in Michiana through the Food Drop. In 2024, we hope to feed 6,400+ families in nine cities across our region through your gifts. You can be part of the action on Saturday, January 27 at 9 a.m. at your campus.

SCHOLARSHIPS
We believe that camps, retreats and engaging environments create huge impact in the lives of those taking steps toward Christ. This past year, 829 kids and students attended a camp! And 81 of those made first-time commitments to follow Jesus while at camp. Over 300 kids and students received scholarships to go to camp this past year. Your gifts will be an investment that can impact a recipient’s life and family for generations. Did you know that $225 is enough to send a kid to a week of Day Camp or that $580 sends a middle schooler to an amazing week of overnight camp? A high schooler can be part of a transformational week of camp for $325. In addition to kids and students, this year we will provide financial support to help even more adults who are choosing to connect through retreats and events.

COMMUNITY CARE
There are so many people hurting and struggling in Michiana and we intend to do more in 2024 to help provide care for those in our church family, as well as the community. Through your generosity, we’re going to find creative ways to help people in great need. We also want to provide counseling and care mentors for those experiencing challenging seasons. There’s so much we can do to bless and encourage people, one relationship at a time.

MONROE CIRCLE COMMUNITY CENTER (MC3)
We’re committed to our local community and want to keep investing in our neighbors. Through the Monroe Circle Community Center (MC3), our community center in downtown South Bend, we offer Jesus’ love in tangible ways through support, care, training and education. This fall, the Back-to-School Clothing Store helped 109 families send 248 students across 24 different area schools back to school with the clothes needed to have a great start to their year. The Financial Literacy class meets regularly and has nearly 30 people engaging! We’ll keep providing over 1,000 meals each month and serving 200 families regularly through the food pantry.

PLAYGROUND UPDATE
With more than 2,200 apartment units within one mile of Granger Community Church—many of which lack safe outdoor play spaces—we want to provide a beautiful playscape to serve kids and families in our community. Our playground at the Granger Campus is turning 12 years old and is ready for some significant updates, including some fun new elements and equipment!
