Weekend Experience

You can watch the experience live at live.gccwired.com or check out a previous week’s service on our media player. A typical weekend service runs about 70 minutes and includes worship through singing, live music, arts, video and teaching from a speaker. Check out this weekend’s playlist.

Find times, directions and more here. If you arrive and a service has already started, please come on in—ushers are waiting to show you to a great seat!

Mark Beeson is our Lead Pastor and then we have other gifted speakers and leaders who pastor our church as well. Check them out at GCCwired.com/staff.

We offer Meet & Greet after every service, where you can meet various staff members after a weekend service at the Granger Campus. Or you can learn more about our pastors and staff right now on our staff page.

If you have a Bible, great! Bring it along, or feel free to use a Bible app on your mobile phone to follow along during a service. But for those of you don’t have one handy, any relevant Bible verses will be displayed on the screens during a service, so you will still be able reference those verses.

Yes! Enjoy a variety of hot and cold drinks, healthy and delicious snacks and meals at The Eatery, Reads and Things at the Granger Campus or the Elkhart Campus café.

Our environment is designed to be casual and comfortable—you’re welcome to join us just as you are.

As long as you’re respecting the privacy of the other guests around you, you’re welcome to take pictures or video of the service experience. To protect their privacy, we ask that you don’t take or share any photographs in the children’s areas.

Kids

Check-in opens 30 minutes before each service and the rooms open 20 minutes before each service.

On your first visit, it will take a few minutes to collect your contact information and fill you in on Granger Kids and show you and your children to their rooms. After that first visit, you can use the self-check-in kiosks located in the building! Of course we’ll still be available to help with any questions about the check-in process.

Include all the items your baby or toddler might need, like a diaper bag, complete with any diapers, wipes, bottles, pacifiers or special blankets that might be needed in your absence. If your child is two years old or under, an extra label will print at check-in. This label corresponds with your child and can be used to mark your bag. In case you forget, we always keep extra diapers or wipes on hand.

We have a world-class children’s environment that is completely customized to give the newest and littlest people a fantastic, age-appropriate experience, so their parents can enjoy an hour free to focus and experience God. The auditorium is an adult-centered environment that is often loud and includes bright lights and occasional haze, so the Granger Kids environment is the best place for your baby to have a great experience during a service.

Yes, just let the room leader know when you’re dropping your baby off the time they’ll need to be fed.

We have a comfortable, private room, the Mother & Baby Room, located on the lower level of the Granger Campus just for mothers to feed and change their babies. Stop at the nursery counter and we’ll unlock the room for your use. If you are dropping a nursing infant off in the nursery, we are happy to page you during a service if your baby needs to be fed, or you can come down during a service to feed your baby and then go back up to experience the rest of it.

There is a small display under the side screen in the Auditorium where we will post a child’s name if their parent is needed. This is not posted in The Eatery/Atrium however, so if you plan to sit in those areas, please let the Granger Kids’ Leader know when you drop off your child, so they can locate you.

Please inform the room leader at drop-off about your child’s allergy. At the Granger Campus, we serve snacks in the Nursery (age 0-23 months) and the Farm room (age 2). These generally consist of Cheerios, animal crackers, goldfish or pretzels. Allergies can be listed on a child’s name tag, so please stop by check-in and they will help you add that information. Occasionally, other rooms will use food for a craft and they will post a notice of this at the door and slide launch zone.

The safety of your kids is of highest priority. Each room is led by a Granger Community Church staff member called an Area Coordinator and each volunteer, age 18 and older has a background check on file. Other safety measures we take include: locking doors 20 minutes after services start, volunteer leaders are never one-on-one with a child in a private space, children’s areas are monitored by a security team, a medical team is on call, and we have emergency procedures in place if ever needed.

We have a special needs programming option at the Granger Campus called Special Friends that can partner your child with a personal volunteer if they are chronologically 5th grade or below. Due to the amount of personalized care we want to have in this program, an appointment needs to be made before a special friend can be matched with your child. If your child is chronologically older than 5th grade, then there is a Special Friends Teens and Adults program happening every Saturday Night during the 5 p.m. service in the Great Room. Exceptions to the format of the program do happen based on needs, so please contact arembold@gccwired.com for further conversation about the possibilities for your child.

Your next step is to attend a Granger Kids Team Orientation to see if volunteering with Granger Kids is a fit for you. One occurs every month. Get more details at GCCwired.com/kids.

Students

During the school year (Labor Day to Memorial Day) on Sunday afternoons, middle school students meet from 3:30-5:30 p.m. and high school students meet from 6:30-8:30 p.m. on the Granger campus. Students can enter through door 3 and check-in at Guest Services. Students have hangout space in the Atrium and then meet in the center section of the Auditorium for their program. At the Elkhart Campus, both middle school and high school gathers from 3:30-5:30 p.m.

Granger Student Ministries (commonly called GSM) also has special events like camps, retreats and mission trips that exist throughout the calendar year. Upcoming events are always posted on GCCwired.com/students.

Students are able to do self check-in or we have a guest services team that can help check them in but parents are welcome (especially on a first visit) to bring their students inside. Once they’ve got the hang of it, there is no need for a parent to walk them in.

Every minute of a GSM gathering is geared specifically towards that group of students, so we’ll engage them with teaching and worship that meets them right where they’re at and speaks to the issues they’re currently going through. And did we mention that it’s fun? Students will also learn through games, hilarious videos and illustrations and have a chance to engage in meaningful conversations with their friends. Any given Sunday, you’ll also find students helping to shape the experience for their peers as part of the setup team, guest services, tech teams and band/vocalists.

GSM utilizes the same check-in software and name tag system that Granger Kids does. Students and leaders are not allowed in the Auditorium space without checking in. Leaders are background checked and aren’t even able to check in unless they have completed the necessary paperwork and training. The Atrium environment has a team of adults, including a member of the weekend security team, that walk around to keep an eye on things and make sure everyone is safe.

Groups

The best way to find a group to join is by using our online group finder search. Simply go to GCCwired.com/groups and click the ’Find a Group’ button. There, you can search and find groups according to affinity, location or a day of the week that works best for you. When you find a group you think you would be interested in joining, click on the group name and fill out the required fields to send an inquiry to that group leader. They will be in touch with you soon!

Nope, just come as you are and give it a try.

Grouping up is all about connecting people in authentic community to help them take their next step toward Christ. When we group up with others who love Jesus, we can build meaningful relationships that provide support, encouragement and accountability. It is one way of making our big church feel as connected as a group of friends meeting in a living room.

This varies. There are groups that have been meeting together for years and others that are short term. Minimally, we hope each group will stay together for the length of one group semester, which is 12-14 weeks.

Some groups do provide childcare. When searching for a group to join, check the ‘Children are welcome’ box as part of your search. This will show you groups where you can bring your children with you.

Groups meet in homes and coffee shops throughout Michiana.

All groups focus on the content in our weekend services. Each week when your group meets, the leader will follow a discussion guide to help you apply what you learned on the weekend to your daily life. It¹s a great opportunity to share highlights from the weekend or ask questions.

Go to GCCwired.com/groups and click on the ‘Lead a Group’ button. Complete the application and someone from Granger Community Church will contact you with next steps once your application is received. Group leaders are required to attend a two-hour Group Leader Training at their campus.

Giving

If you are new, we don’t expect you to give. We didn’t invite you here to get your money. We hope you’ll explore who we are, what we believe, and what our mission is without feeling pressured to give. If this is you, then please pass the collection bag to the next person during the offering.

However if you decide to call GCC your church, or if you would like to be part of supporting the mission of helping people take their next step toward Christ together, we hope you’ll join us and begin to take steps of your own. One of those early steps could be giving financially.

Learn more and find out different ways to give.

We can only do what we do because of the generosity of the people of Granger Community Church. We offer many ways to give so that you can choose the one that works best for you. You have the option to simply put cash in the offering bag as it passes by during a service. Or, you are welcome to put cash in an envelope with your name and contact information on it. You can also write a check payable to Granger Community Church and place it in the offering bag as it passes by or drop one in the mail.

Not a pen and paper person? Give online at GCCwired.com/give. Or, if your mobile phone is handy, you can give via text, by texting GIVE to 574.575.4114.

That’s a decision between each person and God. However, we do believe in and teach the Biblical principle of the Tithe as the standard set by God for supporting the work of the church. A tithe is a tenth or 10% of your income. If that seems extreme or out of reach, don’t be discouraged. We hope everyone will take their next step toward Christ—from wherever you’re starting. So, carefully and prayerfully consider your next step. For some, the next step may be to tithe. For others, their next step may be to just give something. The bottom line is that it’s between you and God.

We are committed to worshipping together on weekends, gathering together in groups, and serving our church and our community while including our children and students. Every year we prepare a budget that funds all of these things through the tithes and offerings of the church. Every dollar we spend goes toward supporting these activities. When you give your tithe and offering, you are supporting these things. There is no need to designate your gift. Occasionally, we have opportunities for designated giving like mission trip support or the Christmas Offering. When those opportunities arise, we will communicate them to the church so anyone who wants to can participate. If you have any other questions regarding designated giving, please contact giving@gccwired.com.

Because GCC is a properly qualified 501(c)(3) organization, your donations to GCC are income tax deductible. However, if you choose to give anonymously, you will not receive tax deductible credit for your donation. Otherwise, you will receive a giving statement for tax purposes before the end of January. If you’d like to see your giving history prior to January, please go to GCCwired.com/give, create an account, login, and check the giving tab. You can see your giving for the current year and the prior year there. You can also download your giving statement.

Serve

Granger Community Church is committed to being laser focused with its global mission efforts. Groups travel to Nicaragua each year to work with native pastors and our partners in Puerto Cabezas. Check out one of our upcoming trips.

There are a number of things we’re doing all around Michiana. Check out local serving opportunities at gccwired.com/local-mission.

Yes! Some meet weekly. Some monthly. Some quarterly. If you don’t have a ton of time, but want to be the hands and feet of Jesus, check out our annual Food Drop or #4Michiana events.

A VolunTOUR is a great way to learn about the different serving opportunities within our church. Led by ministry leaders, it’s a behind-the-scenes look at serving opportunities, and happens after weekend services.

Of course we do! The body of church has many parts. Simply put—WE CAN’T DO THIS WITHOUT YOU!

The differences at Granger Community Church in the next 5 years will be greater than the changes of the past 25. Building on the past is different than living in the past. GCC is not just an institution or location, we are a movement of people who understand we are Jesus' plan to transform and heal communities.
We accept the challenge. We are raising the bar. Here's how we're doing it.
