
Back in the 80s Mark and Sheila Beeson moved against all popular advice and counsel to Granger, Indiana with their three young children. They didn’t have extended family or friends waiting for them, just a vision to start a different kind of church that related to people on their terms. They didn’t have all the answers to the questions people were asking. Nobody had ever done church like this before. How times have changed. GCC moved from that living room, to a firehouse, to a movie theatre (our decade long home) and ultimately opened the current Granger campus in August 1996. The campus has grown and morphed through the years to become the Granger Commons — a community space open to everyone, not just our church [read more]. There’s a gift shop, children’s bookstore, full-service restaurant and an early learning center — all part of the Granger Commons. Mark Beeson is still one of the pastors here, along with a diverse teaching team and thousands of volunteers. Despite all the changes, one thing remains the same: we’re committed to helping you take your next steps toward Christ.
